Today was beautiful. I’ve had so much rest over this past 48 hours. Lots of time outdoors, lots of time stretching and cleaning the house here and there, burning some candles, sweeping the pollen from my little outdoor area in the backyard. I’ve been trying to spend less time on my phone, but I’m not quite sure if I’ve succeeded as well as I’d like to. I managed to finally get Crystal Mars sent out to be released, so it should be appearing any minute now on the streaming platforms, which is exciting. Made a little promo video I filmed with my favorite raw Lemurian Quartz crystal and a red piece of fabric draped over my bedside lamp the other night. I was enjoying myself and this song.
Feeling excited because I wrote two new songs in these last couple of days, they seemed to just spill out of me. I love when it happens that way. Still haven’t recorded anything more than a voice memo of both so I will begin working on getting a decent demo made of those in the coming weeks. I’m sending out a big batch of orders tomorrow when I finally will myself to get to the post office, but it feels good to have packaged up some handmade items with a lot of love and extra attention paid to each person who spent their time and money on me. It makes me feel so good to make stuff for people, so thank you everyone who orders stuff.
I’m also happy to announce that the first round of Zines + Faline members snail mail will be going out next week! I’ve decided that mid-month is the best time to send out each issue, so for those of you who signed up in March, I’m including April’s issue of the zine and a ‘welcome’ bundle with your first package, and I’m excited for you guys to receive it. Also launching the members only section that same week, been compiling a lot of extras and working hard to make it feel special so I appreciate your patience and I can’t wait to share it with you. Thank you for caring and for being a part of this with me. You know who you are!
Lucille has been a bit restless today so to distract her I got her a brand new marrow bone that she’s now currently chomping on. She loves her bones, but her gnawing can be quite loud. I’ve learned to accept it as a happy sound and instead of it grinding on my nerves I’m trying to shift my perspective and treat it as music to my ears. I haven’t really been listening to a lot of music this weekend, mostly been in my head thinking a lot and writing a bit, so that takes up a lot of mental presence. Still, I’ll include some songs that have been in my peripheral since last week.
Also attaching some photos and screenshots I’ve saved. There’s a lot of people coming through Charleston this year. Kurt Vile, Cat Power, Comedy Bang Bang! just to name a few.. also my friend Kevin Hanley sent me a photo of me with the gentlemen of Super Ego (Paul F Tompkins and the like) a couple years ago at a theatre downtown.. (see photo below) Something magical always happens when I go to shows with Kevin, last we went out was to Charleston Music Hall where I got to meet Tim Heidecker and I'll attach that photo too. I look very happy. I love a good comedy show and I'm excited to see Paul F. Tompkins again. Wish more people would make Charleston a stop on their tour more often. It’s a special place, albeit out of the way.

Tomorrow is Monday again, with that comes some school work to finish, more Spanish, which I’m really enjoying. This is intermediate level now, and we’re finally getting into a lot of listening and speaking practices in our online zoom classroom, which at first was a bit daunting but has now become my favorite aspect of the class. It feels good to apply what I’ve learned and put it to the test. I’m thinking of writing some lyrics in spanish soon. I'll practice a bit here.
Happy Sunday night, I hope you aren’t working too hard and that you know you are so incredibly loved. I’ll be back with more soon but I’m sending you love until then.
